It is hard to believe that two years have passed since the 2006 Primary election.  Unfortunately that election was the ugliest mudslinging election in Kaufman County history.  I promised you at that time that I would conduct a clean honest campaign.  Even though my opponent did not.  I kept my pledge to conduct a clean positive campaign and I'm proud of getting 49.27% of the vote in the last primary.

I have been asked and I have agreed to be a candidate again.  I will be running for Commissioner Precinct 3 that represents you on the Kaufman County Commissioner's Court.  Voting for this primary election begins on March 31st and lasts 1 week.  Election Day will be April 8th.

I will be running in the Democratic primary for the right to challenge the Republican incumbent in November.  This will be a contested primary and the winner will have a tough battle in November.

I believe my law degree and 30 years of legal experience will be well utilized in addressing the complicated legal issues facing our Commissioners Court.  I also believe my 20 years of military service as a Navy lawyer, my years of experience as an assistant District Attorney for Kaufman County and my three terms as your Kaufman County Court at Law Judge makes me the best candidate for the primary election and the general election in November.

For three years I was the primary legal advisor to the Kaufman County Commissioners Court.  These hands on experience in the operation of the court will be a real asset.  Like you, I am concerned about the reckless speeding and out of control county budget.  High Taxes and bad Roads are not something we can be proud of.

We need a change.  Together we can make positive changes for our county.  Please consider voting in the Democratic primary beginning on March 31st and please vote for the person who has the best chance of defeating the incumbent Republican in November.
